'Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.' Season 1 Episode 16 'End of the Beginning' Review

I was not prepared for the onslaught of new episodes last week so sorry for the late review. I wanted to post a non recap review in order to get this review out before the next Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. comes out. Instead of doing a recap of this episode I am just going to discuss my theories for the future of the show and my favorite moments of the episode, etc. I may start to do Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reviews in this format to ease my reviewing schedule because I'm busy with school.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Overview & The Future Of The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Hopefully those of you reading this have seen 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and keep up with the show. I personally like the show and feel the last 7 episodes or so have progressed in quality. One thing that Marvel did to improve the show was add guest star actors to recent episodes and tie in to the comics and cinematic universe. I'm not necessarily expecting big name superheroes to make appearances on the show but now that 'How I Met Your Mother' is over maybe Maria Hill could make appearances on the show. I'm doubtful of this since at the end of Captain America The Winter Soldier we saw her applying to Stark Industries now that S.H.I.E.L.D. is gone. I'm also curious in what direction the show will go in if the organization that the show revolves around is destroyed will Coulson's team be hunting down the remains of Hydra or stay focused on finding the Clairvoyant, etc. I actually don't believe they found the real Clairvoyant in this episode I believe the Clairvoyant is actually Arnim Zola because in Cap 2 we see he has S.H.I.E.L.D. clearance and was the main reason Hydra was able to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D. I also think it could be someone without  S.H.I.E.L.D. clearance just someone who has a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent giving them Intel. Overall, I enjoyed the twists in the episode and plot. I think it would be interesting for a member of Coulson's team to be a Hydra spy. I thought Deathlok was one of the coolest aspects in the episode and added to the action his costumes a little underwhelming though, hopefully more may be added to it. I also liked how all the agents seen on the show assembled to find the Clairvoyant. I also liked that they officially made Skye an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. I hope next week's tie-in episode answers all my questions.

agents of shield season 1 episode 14 coulson Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Uprising: New Name, Same Show
Well Last week I did my first television show review and I plan on doing reviews for my favorite tv shows that I keep up on a weekly basis with in addition to movie reviews. These shows include Arrow, Agents of Shield, Once Upon A Time, Once Upon A Time in Wonderland, and Revolution. Anyways on to the the review of the episode. This show is just getting better and better every week and I'm very excited for Lady Sif to come next week.

One thing this show added was the addition of two new agents who hopefully may return in future episodes, and more information into how Coulson was revived. This episode also managed to leave people with many questions. I really enjoyed Bill Paxton's performance alongside Coulson and his team. I also liked that they revealed there was some creature/alien that supplied the ingredient for the miracle drug. I also enjoyed the Lorelei tease at the end of the episode to prepare fans for next weeks episode with the Enchantress' sister and Lady Sif. I honestly thought they were bringing the Enchantress to the show till I researched the name. I really liked that we got to see the effects of the surgery and the events of the Avengers on Coulson in this episode. This is something I feel Iron Man 3 did well showing the impact upon Tony Stark and how horrified he felt afterwards.  I am very excited to see what the rest of the season has in store and if there is more info behind Coulson's revival. Overall one of my favorite episodes this season, I feel the show is finally finding it's footing as how they can integrate the film universe with the tv show.
