'Arrow' Season 3 Episode 17 'Suicidal Tendencies' Review

Non Spoiler Review- Another great episode of 'Arrow' that is somewhat crowded in terms of story but is very entertaining thanks to its twists, action sequences and character development.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

1. Cliffhanger- The big cliffhanger this week is that the mayor meets with Captain Lance, Felicity, Laurel, and Ray Palmer because Ray Palmer wants to discuss the Arrow's innocence. As they are talking an arrow is shot through the wind that kills the mayor. It then reveals that it is another Arrow imposter from the League and he pulls back the hood and it is Mateo. The episode ends with him targeting felicity and the sound of the release of the bow. I think that is quite a cliffhanger, which Arrow seems to be getting pretty great at developing.
2. Deadshot sacrifices himself- One great moment of the episode was when Deadshot tells the rest of the Suicide Squad he can't get down because he wants them to get out and sacrifices himself for them. I was kind of disappointed by this because Deadshot hasn't been too large of character and this episode included an origin story for him in flashbacks making me care more for his character and I enjoyed his performance and hope it will be revealed he somehow escaped.
3. Ray is convinced of Oliver's innocence- At the end of their brawl Oliver proves to Ray he didn't kill those people by leaving him the and saying he should trust in Felicity more. I liked this because it means they can work together now and it helps to develop Ray and Felicity's relationship, etc.
4. Arrow vs. Atom- A very short but awesome fight scene was between Arrow and the Atom. I enjoyed the fight scene and can't wait to see the Atom suit in action again soon.
5. Cupid falls for Deadshot- A very humorous part of the episode was that when Deadshot saves Cupid she falls in love with him similar to the Harley quint  and Deadshot relationship in the comics and the animated short 'Assault on Arkham'. Sadly I'm unsure if we will See either of them again in a Suicide Squad episode since Deadshot is presumed dead and Lyla left Argus.
6. Diggle and Lyla are married- The episode begins with Lyla and Doggies marriage ceremony which I was happy we finally got to see because it has been somewhat teased in the previous episodes. It's nice to see Diggle happy again though!
