'Once Upon A Time' Season 4 Episode 2 'White Out' Review

Non Spoiler Review- This episode had a lot of interesting story with some decent background stories. Some of the side story lines were boring or seemed pointless like one where Mary Margaret is tasked with restoring power to the town. The flash back was interesting and so was the main story. Once again the visual effects were great but this episode was mediocre to me compared to some of the others I have seen. This episode just felt kinda slow and now that I look back on it very little happened in this episode. However it made me excited for what is to come. Unfortunately I couldn't think of 5 things that stood out to me or that I really liked so I only have a few highlights.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

1. The new villain is revealed- I'm guessing the new villain is the actual Snow Queen from the fairy tale Frozen is based on. I like that they actually have a new villain and I was very surprised to see a new villain and wasn't really expecting it.
2. Elsa- In general a highlight of the episode was definitely Elsa's character. I liked how she isolated herself and accidentally trapped herself and Emma in an ice cave. I also enjoyed that she developed a friendship with Emma because they both have the same problem that they both cant control their powers. The ice visual effects were great! The actress, Georgina Haig, who is portraying Elsa is doing a phenomenal job and I cant wait to see more of her!
3. Regina opens up to Henry- Regina and Rumpelstiltskin were both sidelined for this episode but for the one scene Regina was in I really enjoyed. I liked that she let Henry in and talked to him and can't wait to see where that leads in future episodes and whether she will let anyone else into her home.
