'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 1 Episode 15 'Yes Men' Review

Once again sorry for the late review I have been busy. This episode finally managed to tie directly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe other than a Nick Fury cameo, Agent Maria Hill appearing in the pilot, Agent Sitwell, and the supposed Thor The Dark World tie-in that barely tied into the movie. This episode managed to actually do that correctly. Ever since the reveal of some details of Coulson's death the show has consistently been entertaining to watch week after week. Anyways into the review.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

This was one of the best episodes the series has had so far and the show just gets better week after week. This episode finally found a spot for Lady Sif to shine since she barely gets any screentime in the Thor movies. Well this episode picks up directly after the post credit scene of last weeks episode, with Lorelei leaving the man she used to travel then hypnotizing a motorcycle gang to cater to her every whim. Then it reveals that Skye is now awake and very well alive after being injected with the alien's blood. Coulson ones to meet with Agent Sitwell to ask for Nick Fury to answer his questions but Sitwell says Fury is off the grid hopefully this will be explained in Captain America The Winter Soldier. The team then gets an alert that there are readings similar to what has been seen when Thor comes to earth so the team along with a SHIELD squad investigates. They arrive to find Lady Sif coming out of the bio frost she recognizes that she is encountering SHIELD and that Thor told her they are allies. She is taken to the plane to be confused that she is seeing Coulson alive since Thor told her about Loki stabbing Coulson. Coulson explains that he managed to survive without going into much detail. He then asks her if she has ever encountered any blue aliens and she mentions every blue alien found in  the Marvel universe. She says that the only ones she is aware of that have come to earth are frost giants. Coulson is still not satisfied but decides to look for answers later. Sif tells the team of Lorelei's abilities to make men do whatever she says and that it won't work on women. The team and Sif then discover where Lorelei is hiding and engage Lorelei and her motorcycle gang. This really showed off Sifs fighting abilities as she threw them around like rag dolls. Ward goes in te back only to be hypnotized by Lorelei. Lorelei and Ward escape and go to Vegas where Ward tells her everything she needs to know to defeat Sif and the team. Elsewhere, Agent May talks with Sif about Sif's weapon and Ward.
The agents track Lorelei to Vegas but are too late to catch her. They return to the plane where Fitz takes Sif to her room. He then locks her in the room because he’s under Lorelei’s control. However her room happens to be the prison cell. So Sif gets sucked out of the plane through the retractable roof.
Coulson who hasn't been hypnotized, goes to free Skye and Simmons, who have been locked in the sick bay, while May confronts Lorelei and Ward. Lorelei tells May that Ward has feelings for someone else, then heads to the cell to steal Sif’s sword where Sif has crawled back in the plane. It then shifts to an epic fight between Sif and Lorelei and May and Ward. Sif defeats Lorelei and when it seems that May has lost Lorelei's influence over Ward ends, so May takes the opportunity to defeat him.
Sif takes Lorelei off SHIELD’s plane and returns him to Odin. If you’ve seen Thor: The Dark World you’ll know that Odin is really Loki and May need Lorelei for some scheme. Unfortunately that may not happen since she is a low profile Thor villain am not the Enchantress herself but her sister.
The episode then ends with a couple of confessionals. Ward tells May he never meant to hurt her; she then tells him that it's over. Coulson tells Skye that her magic healing serum came from an alien. Skye doesn't seem worried since they are still alive. He then promised that they will figure this out together. The post credit scene reveals that May was listening and she reports into someone. This was the best episode so far and I can't wait for the upcoming episode where the 'Heroes' actor for Nathan Petreli is cast as one of Hulks adversary maybe we may see a brief Mark Ruffalo cameo.
