'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 Episode 5 '4,722 Hours' Review

Non Spoiler Review- This episode primarily is a flashback episode revealing what happened to Simmons on the other planet (dimension) and it was very interesting with several reveals that help explain her behavior in the previous episodes. In some aspects the episode was reminiscent of 'The Martian' given the nature of the episode. I enjoyed the episode and can't wait for next week's episode which will continue the present storyline after last week's cliffhangers.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

1. Simmons and Will kiss- This was a moment of the episode that I had mixed feelings towards because I was disappointed to learn Simmons fell in love with another survivor on the planet and essentially gave up on Fitz. I was sad as I've been rooting for her and Fitz throughout the series and was somewhat frustrated to learn about another love interest for her pitting her in love triangle.
2. Mysterious hooded figure- On the planet there was some mysterious hooded figure who may be an alien or something that seemed to be hunting people on the planet and I'm curious to see if we will learn more about this figure and who or what it could possibly be.
3. Fitz agrees to help Simmons- I was surprised to see Fitz agree to help Simmons go back and save Will. Especially since he would be ruining his own chances with her. I'm curious to see if they are able to rebuild the Monolith given it's destruction a few episodes ago.
