'Arrow' Season 3 Episode 12 'Uprising' Review

Non Spoiler Review- An episode that centers around Malcolm Merlin and team Arrow, which is probably my favorite episode this season. Prior to this episode it would have been the season finale but I think the shock of Oliver's death is what made that episode more interesting to me. I'm very excited for the rest of this season!

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

1. Oliver returns- The biggest part of the episode was of course the return of oliver Queen. I predicted something to this effect would happen last week but I didn't expect all of the additional Oliver drama that was enjoyable. Oliver requests Merlin to train him so he can be ready to fight Ra'as Al Ghul. I really like this and look forward to the two working together. I was however annoyed by Felicity's reaction to his return. I'm curious how he will react to the changes in Team Arrow, etc.
2. Merlin's origin- One of my favorite things about this episode was the inclusion of flashbacks revolving around Malcolm Merlin. I really enjoyed seeing what drove him to join the League of Assassins and what made him the killer he is today. These are the best flashbacks all season and I hope there will be more Merlin flashbacks in future episodes.
3. The Glades vs. Brick- The end fight sequence was very cool and it somewhat reminded me of the end fight in 'The Dark Knight Rises'. One of the coolest large scale action sequences on the show thus far and I can't wait to see more action scenes on this scale.
4. Quentin Lance learns more about Black Canary- At the end of the fight Sin tells Quentin that she doesn't think Sara is the one in the suit and I wonder what Quentin's reaction will be when he learns Laurel has been parading as Black Canary and nort Sara.
5. "Are you that Red Streak i've been hearing about?"- "Are you that red streak I've been hearing about?" asks one of Brick's men. It's funny to see Arsenal mistaken for the Flash. A very funny little easter egg.
