'Arrow' Season 3 Episode 12 'Uprising' Review

Non Spoiler Review- An episode that centers around Malcolm Merlin and team Arrow, which is probably my favorite episode this season. Prior to this episode it would have been the season finale but I think the shock of Oliver's death is what made that episode more interesting to me. I'm very excited for the rest of this season!

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

1. Oliver returns- The biggest part of the episode was of course the return of oliver Queen. I predicted something to this effect would happen last week but I didn't expect all of the additional Oliver drama that was enjoyable. Oliver requests Merlin to train him so he can be ready to fight Ra'as Al Ghul. I really like this and look forward to the two working together. I was however annoyed by Felicity's reaction to his return. I'm curious how he will react to the changes in Team Arrow, etc.
2. Merlin's origin- One of my favorite things about this episode was the inclusion of flashbacks revolving around Malcolm Merlin. I really enjoyed seeing what drove him to join the League of Assassins and what made him the killer he is today. These are the best flashbacks all season and I hope there will be more Merlin flashbacks in future episodes.
3. The Glades vs. Brick- The end fight sequence was very cool and it somewhat reminded me of the end fight in 'The Dark Knight Rises'. One of the coolest large scale action sequences on the show thus far and I can't wait to see more action scenes on this scale.
4. Quentin Lance learns more about Black Canary- At the end of the fight Sin tells Quentin that she doesn't think Sara is the one in the suit and I wonder what Quentin's reaction will be when he learns Laurel has been parading as Black Canary and nort Sara.
5. "Are you that Red Streak i've been hearing about?"- "Are you that red streak I've been hearing about?" asks one of Brick's men. It's funny to see Arsenal mistaken for the Flash. A very funny little easter egg.

'Arrow' Season 3 Episode 6 'Guilty' Review

Non Spoiler Review- This episode is not quite the best episode of the season but has some excellent action sequences as well as some cool easter eggs.

Highlights of the episode

1. The Boxing Glove Arrow- As you can see above this episode included an easter egg to the boxing glove arrow! I was so glad to see this easter egg and I hope Oliver considers putting one in his quiver!
 2. Wildcat- We learn that Ted Grant was a vigilante while Oliver was away. I hope to see Ted Grant decide to become Wildcat soon but it seems as though he is retired.
 3. Roy is officially given the name Arsenal- Roy mentions to Oliver that Ted's old sidekick said Roy was just a weapon in Oliver's Arsenal and Oliver decides that's what Roy should be called.
4. Roy brings back repressed memories- We learn that Roy didn't kill Sarah but was repressing his Mora Kuru memory of killing a cop. I thought it was interesting that this tied into the flashback part of the episode.
5. Cupid is in Starling City- We see the introduction of yet another villain who will be spotlighted on the next episode. I'm curious what exactly brought her to Starling and if she killed Sara.

'Arrow' Season 3 Episode 5 'The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak' Review

Non Spoiler Review- While this episode seems to go a little off tangent from the story of the previous episodes it has a few surprises although some of the episode is a little predictable. overall its a good episode just not a great one. However I'm looking forward to next weeks after this episode's reveal!

Highlights of the episode

1. Did Roy kill Sara?- Definitely one of the best part of the episode where Roy wakes up after dreaming he had killed Sara. I'm about 99% sure that he did do it for multiple reasons. First, Sara recognized her killer and wasn't enraged by seeing Merlyn or someone that she would be scared by. Second, the list of suspects is shrinking each episode and Roy is one of the few candidates left. Third, This could be an after effect of the Mirakuru. I'm just confused because the mirakuru was removed from him.
 2. Felicity saves the day- It was very cool to see Felicity defeat her psycho ex boyfriend and that her training is paying off. It was nice to see that Felicity can take care of herself and doesn't always need Oliver to help her.
3. Oliver vs. multiple auto machine gun turrets- This was a pretty cool scene where Oliver has to take out about 5 auto aiming machine gun turrets and he does it within about a minute which is awesome.
4. Everyone is training- I loved that we got to see a cool training montage of Oliver training roy, Ted Grant training Laurel, and Merlyn training Thea and then Thea and Merlyn take a break and she makes the comment "I wonder what normal people do?" and it cuts to Felicity doing situps in her pj's to a workout video. I laughed so hard when I saw this because compared to everyone else Felicity is just exercising.
5. Oliver brings popcorn- Oliver brings popcorn to Thea after earlier in the episode asking if thats what she wanted hi to do. It also appears he will be living with her now which will make it difficult for both of them to keep secrets from each other. We see Merlyn grinning in the distance as he watches this so I wonder what he has planned.

Non Spoiler Review- Overall this was a great episode that explains what has been going on with Merlin and Thea.

Highlights of the episode

1. Nyssa shows up- Hmm seems like The League of Assassins will appear in Starling soon. I liked that she was a twist at the end and demanded to know what happened to Sara.
2. Merlin Trains Thea- We now know what Merlin was doing when he left with The and it seems that she is very deadly now.
3. Laurel begins training- Laurel is now trying to follow her sister's path and become the Black Canary just like her character in the comics although Sara Lance isn't an actual character in the comics. She will be trained by Ted Grant who is Wild Cat in the comics.
4. Thea decides to return to Starling- It's very interesting that Oliver and Roy had convinced her to return and that she was able to defeat her father to convince him to let her go.
5. Ray Palmer looks at weapon specs- This was very interesting. I wonder what Ray Palmer wants to do with these weapons and what they will do.
