Non spoiler Overview- This was a great episode and the visual effects in the episode were stunning. For those hard-core Frozen fans, the characters and costumes, etc. are interpreted very accurately. And the actress for Elsa is perfect in the role and fits it so well, definitely the best addition to the cast. The regular cast also did great. This is great for those who desire more Frozen and can't wait for the next movie but I recommend you start the show from season 1 because the show is very good.
*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******
Highlights of the episode
1."Do You Want To Be a Snowman"- It was interesting to see this homage to the scene from Frozen. (to those who didn't see the episode they didn't actually sing "Do You Want To Build a Snowman" this just reminded me of it). But I enjoyed this scene and liked that Emma said she was there to ensure everyone in the town had a happy ending. I also liked the twist that followed where Regina decided she would find the author of the book to ensure villains get happy endings.2. Elsa's Snow Monster- There was so much I loved about this episode and Elsa's snow monster was visually very accurate to the film, aesthetically pleasing, and seemed menacing.
3. Regina is once again in cahoots with Sydney Glass- I liked to see Sydney's character return and an explanation of where he has been, etc. I also thought it was interesting that Regina freed him to just imprison him in the mirror once again. I had just grown to like Regina and now she's turning evil again so I'm not sure how I feel about her character but I am glad she decided to not try to kill Marian and was intrigued that she even thought to go find the author of the book.
4. The Sorceror's Hat- In this episode Rumple keeps a lot of secrets from Belle, even switching the fake Dark One dagger for the real one only to take the real one back to summon the Sorcerer's hat, which looks AWESOME. I'm glad that Rumple wants to honor Baelfire and become an honest man and undo his wrongs. I'm also interested to see what the Dark One will use the hat for.
5. Belle and Rumple dance- I enjoyed that they had this scene that pays homage to the classic scene from Beauty and The Beast and that there was a record playing the song while they danced in costume. This scene was perfect and I'm glad it was added to the show.
