'Supergirl' Season 1 Episode 2 'Stronger Together' Review

Non Spoiler Review- 'Supergirl' had another very enjoyable episode maintaining all the elements that made the pilot so great however I hope the quality of the show will pick up and soar like the heroine herself. I found this episode to kinda drag at moments and hope to see the show pick up in the upcoming episodes.  All of the elements I enjoyed about the pilot remained consistent so as a whole the episode was great but I was hoping to see the show take off.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

1. Kara vs. Astra- I really enjoyed this fight much more than the more pitiful fight at the end of the pilot because Kara was fighting someone she was evenly matched with and that made a more interesting dynamic. I also
2. Henshaw is Cyborg Superman?- Towards the end of the episode we see Henshaw's eyes glow and so it can be generally assumed that he is most likely Cyborg Superman. I'm not very knowledgable about the character but look forward to learning more.
3. Astra learns about Kryptonite- I thought it was very cool that Henshaw had a Kryptonite blade on his knife and was interested that Astra didn't know about Kryptonite and she still is unaware of what it is other than the fact that it can harm her. I'm curious to see if she will use it against Kara or find a defense against it.
4. Kara's fortress of solitude?- At the end of the episode, Kara is given her own Fortress of Solitude from Alex and the DEO. I liked that this mirrors Superman's Fortress of Solitude and how it is reminiscent of his in regards to allowing her to communicate with an A.I. equivalent of her mother.
5. Kara trains and saves the day- I liked that Alex made it clear to Kara that she's not trained enough and needs to know hoe to fight to beat these aliens and I enjoyed watching her be a simple hero by stopping a robbery, a fire, saving a cat, etc. I hope to see more of Supergirl training and saving the day in simple means as both are enjoyable to see onscreen.
