Non Spoiler Review- This episode revealed some of the highest crossover potential for 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' to tie in to the MCU going forward and I consider this episode to be the best episode of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' so far!
*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******
Highlights of the episode
1. It's all Connected- The best points of the episode by far were the connections to 'Avengers Age Of Ultron'. It was interesting to see this episode literally set up the very beginning of 'Avengers Age Of Ultron'. This is set up when it is revealed that Coulson really raided the Hydra base to learn the location of Loki's Scepter which we know Baron Von Strucker has been using to experiment, etc. Throughout the episode Hydra refers to these experiments and the twins themselves but at the end of the episode maria Hill calls. Coulson tells her the location of the scepter and delivers an awesome line "Time to bring in the Avengers". These events directly setup the film and explain how the Avengers find this Hydra base.2. Reina's Vision- A few episodes ago we learned Reina is clairvoyant and at the end of the episodes she awakens from another vision saying "Metal men will destroy cities and the world will be changed." She is of course referring to Ultron's army. This makes me think that the next episode will deal with the events directly following 'Avengers Age Of Ultron'.
3. Coulson and Gonzales' alternative motives- We learn that Gonzales is interested in powered people while Coulson was interested in loki's scepter's location. These were the reasons both sides wanted to infiltrate the Hydra base, I think this is going further to set up 'Captain America Civil War'.
4. Skye in action- The best action sequence on the show so far occurred in this episode when Skye takes down several Hydra agents using her spec-ops training as well as her super powers. It was a very cool scene that was one of the highlights of the episode and I hope for more action on this level.
5. Simmons kills Bakshi- A big twist in the episode is when Simmons tries to kill Ward and Bakshi sacrifices himself to save Ward. I was very surprised to see Bakshi was actually very loyal to Ward and see Simmons resort to trying to kill someonw.
6. Original team back together- Another fun aspect of the episode was when the original six cast members are all together as a team once again and it was interesting to see how much they have all changed and the character dynamics have also further progressed.
