'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 2 Episode 3 'Making Friends and Influencing People' Review

Non Spoiler Review- This is my favorite episode of the series so far because it brings back a few characters and explains where they have been. We learn what Simmons has been up to and more about what's going on at Hydra. This episode has an interesting story and gives most of the characters a moment to shine. Overall a great episode and I look forward to the future of the series.

*******There will be Spoilers from this point on*******

Highlights of the episode

 1. Skye shoots Donnie- This was the first time Skye had ever killed someone and she didn't really have a choice or Hydra would have Donnie and be able to use his abilities against S.H.I.E.L.D. I wonder if for some reason he will return because he didn't really die and if the show will go in that direction.
 2. Fitz discovers Ward- This was by far the best scene of the episode. It was interesting to see how devastated Fitz is when he discovers Ward, the person who caused his brain damage is actually being kept at the base so they can question him. I was very surprised when Fitz lowered the oxygen levels of the cell to show Ward what it was like to be damaged. This also revealed Fitz is aware of what is wrong with himself.
3. May is training Skye- I like that May is Skye's S.O. now and that she can relate to Skye and make her a better agent. I liked that she explained that Skye needs to keep control over herself in the field revealing how May does it.
 4. We learn what's going on with Simmons- I was very worried that Simmons was going to turn out to have switched to Hydra for good but was glad to discover she is spying on Hydra. I'm glad that they brought Simmons back and explained what she has been doing since the season finale and why she left.
5. Hydra is brainwashing- This was a big twist and Hydra will probably end up brainwashing some of Coulson's team and it explains why some of Hydra is so loyal.
